The Laxey Blacksmith was founded by Allan King in 1990, his speciality being the design, forging and creation of both functional and artistic ironwork.

Allan has more than 25 years experience as a traditional artist blacksmith, working primarily with steel, wrought iron, cast iron, copper and aluminium.

As the basis of his craft he uses the traditional tools of the blacksmith - forge, hammer, anvil and tongs - alongside twenty-first century technology, combining proven methods with the latest modern equipment.

Every piece is unique and produced to order and Allan is always happy to discuss your ideas - no matter how big or small!
